Whether you're chasing your first salmon or looking to sharpen your skills on moving water, your trip is built around you—your experience level, your goals, current conditions, and what the fish are doing that day.
No boat. No crowded charter deck. Just boots in the water, a rod in your hand, and a day spent fishing the river.
Fall Salmon
Fall brings migrating salmon into Western New York tributaries and creates one of the most exciting opportunities of the year to experience powerful fish in moving water.
Depending on timing, conditions, regulations and the water being fished, opportunities may vary throughout the season.
And that's part of river fishing.
We don't guarantee fish. We do guarantee that we'll show up prepared and work hard to give you the best experience the conditions allow.

You don't need to be an experienced salmon angler to book with Freasy Outdoors.
First time fishing moving water? We'll help you understand where fish hold, how to read current and how to make an effective presentation.
Already an experienced angler? We'll spend less time on the basics and more time adapting to conditions, exploring productive water and putting you in the best position we can.
Every trip is personal.
Because a guided trip shouldn't feel like you're simply filling a seat.

BEFORE YOU BOOK
Do I need a fishing license?
Yes. Anglers are responsible for having the appropriate New York fishing license and any other legally required privileges for the water and species being fished.
I've never salmon fished before. Is that okay?
Absolutely. Beginners are welcome. Instruction is part of the experience.
Where will we fish?
The exact water and meeting location can depend on current conditions. You'll receive trip details before your adventure. I would not publish your actual fishing locations on the website.
What happens if the weather or river conditions are bad?
Safety comes first. If conditions make the scheduled trip unsafe or impractical, Freasy Outdoors will communicate with you about the available options under the trip cancellation/rescheduling policy.
Are fish guaranteed?
No ethical guide can control the fish or the conditions. What Freasy Outdoors can control is preparation, effort, communication and the quality of your experience.
